FAQs

  • My books open and close periodically, however, you are welcome to submit an inquiry at anytime.

BOOKS ARE OPEN: scheduling for January - June 2024

  • Please fill out an inquiry form found on my Inquire page.

  • I charge $200/hr and require a $200 non-refundable deposit per appointment, to schedule.

Deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. This cost goes towards your session at the end of the appointment. Your deposit will be charged at the time of making your appointment.

I quote a time estimate for your project upon booking, however, this is just an estimate and we may go over or under this price range and will be charged accordingly.

  • Reschedule policy: Reschedules require a minimum 48 hour notice. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your deposit. Due to lack of availability, all reschedules may be added to a short waitlist and will be contacted as openings come up.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations and no-shows will forfeit their deposits. I will discontinue working with anyone who no-shows me. Exceptions may be made for emergencies only.

To cancel/reschedule, please use your confirmation link text to your phone from Square Scheduling to manage your own appointments. Or you may text me directly using the phone number on your confirmation email.

  • I prefer to take on projects that align with my style of black and grey fine line. I prefer large scale bodies of work with a clear theme and freedom for artistic design. I do freehand much of my work.

Projects I love: Thematic sleeves, work that flows to shape and adorn the body, large scale art, fine-line realism and illustrative work.

Subjects I gravitate towards: Botanicals, nature scenes, mandalas/henna, critters, bugs, skulls and bones, folklore and myth, freehand florals, antiques, anatomy, crystals, femme, flora and fauna… ect

  • At this time, I will not be taking the following:

Color, script or lettering, coverups or reworks, projects under 2 hrs, overly detailed, geometric, copy’s of other artist’s work, patriotic, gang related, racist, sexist, trans/homophobic

  • Please leave your friends and family at home.

If you must, please limit yourself to one guest who is 18+. I understand that sometimes we need our emotional support buddy, and I want you to be comfortable.

However, our shop is small and can become crowded easily. Some of us are still observing social distancing and safety precautions for covid and other illnesses. I also typically work long hours per session, after 6 hours, your guest is bound to be bored and tired.

I might recommend that your guest drop you off, pick you up or bring you food during your session. If you do choose to bring a guest, please let me know ahead of time.

  • Designs will not be shown or sent before hand. I often freehand my designs on the skin and discuss the details of the design and plan at your appointment. Most often, there is nothing prepared to be shown ahead of time.

  • I do not offer consultations.

For larger projects, such as sleeves, much of our first session together will be for planning. Much like a consultation, communication on details will be had then before we put the ink to skin. If needed, this may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. I do not charge for this time.

  • Please send me a picture of your healed tattoo and let me know what is wrong.

Most touch ups are free, unless proper care was neglected. If that is the case, the touch up will be charged a minimum of $100 or more depending on the level of work it needs to be fixed.

Touch ups are free for up to a year. After that, the tattoo has naturally aged and any work on it would be considered a “rework”, which is charged full price. This includes any other types of alterations to the piece after completion.

  • Due to availability, I can not accept everyone’s projects at this time. I would encourage you to inquire again for next season!

If you would like to get in with someone sooner, please check out the rest of the Folklore Tattoo Collective team.

  • First of all, thank you for taking a trip to see me! I deeply appreciate it!

If needed, and I have availability for it, you are welcome to schedule back-to-back appointments for large/multiple-session projects. Though sometimes necessary for scheduling purposes, this can be very hard on the body and for healing. If you opt for this route, please take caution and take extra care before and after your session(s).

Travelers Insurance: Due to the nature of long haul traveling, I am willing to be more flexible with those of you coming from out of state. If you get a flat tire, your flight gets delayed or canceled, or anything that might happen out of your control; not to worry. As long as you communicate, I’ll be happy to work with you and reschedule if necessary.

I am located in Central Point, a smaller town central to the rest of the beauty of Southern Oregon. There is tons of opportunity for fitting in an outing or two, with plenty of great food, vineyards, and outdoor activities, there’s plenty to do. I’d love to recommend where to eat, stay and more based on your needs. Feel free to reach out!

  • I will not tattoo you if you are:

Pregnant, drunk, on drugs, on blood thinners, under 18 years old, have an active infection, racist, sexist, homophobic, threatening, going against doctors orders, a screamer, unable to pay, acting inappropriately, telling me how to do my job, not listening to instructions.

  • Pregnant: I will not tattoo you if you are knowingly pregnant. If you become pregnant after making your appointment, please either cancel or reschedule yourself for well after your due date.

Breastfeeding: Please get your doctor’s approval before making your appointment. For you and your baby’s safety, please to pre-cautions. Breastfeeding puts your body at a higher risk of infection which can ruin your tattoo and potentially put you both at risk for health issues. Seek a professionals advice in advance.

  • Yes.

At this time, I do not offer any numbing products to my clients. If you would like to use something, please purchase your products ahead of time and do your due diligence with research.

Numbing products may have adverse affects such as: allergic reactions, difficulties healing, skin tightness, etc.

I am not held responsible for what you choose to put on your skin before or after your tattoo.

  • My waitlist is only for existing clients who have unfinished projects with me. I use this waitlist to fill any reschedules/cancellations that may occur. It is set up through my booking system and will automatically send reminders when there is availability.

You will be removed from the waitlist after a year if you are inactive. You will be notified beforehand.

The waitlist is not open for new projects.
