The Give and Take of Tattooing
In an industry like ours, it can be easy to forget the value and impact these shared experiences hold. In this video interview, I touch on the importance of the the give and take between artists and clients.
With just 4 years of experience under my belt, I am incredibly grateful to have been dealt this hand. I have been blessed with some truly remarkable experiences while carving my path, and have learned some valuable lessons along the way.

As I’ve learned lessons along the way, these past 4 years have proven to be expansive. Between now and then, my horizons have changed vastly. It’s hard to compare where I was then to now. Outside of the specifics of the tattoo industry and it’s culture, I think I’ve learned most about myself and community. As we go about our day to days, it’s easy to over look the little moments that make life especially sweet. In this industry, we meet new people on a daily basis. It’s easy to overlook the impact that we leave on one another in passing. I try to be especially mindful of this and notice how special the intimate moments of trusting each other with our co-created artworks truly is. I can confidently say that my clients offer just as much value to my life, business and spirit as I hope I do them. With little to no effort, those who join me in this experience by sitting in my chair offer so much value to me as well.
I am so lucky to be able to provide a sacred creative space, and be met where I am in my authenticity. I have a specific artistic style and fall into a more niche sector of the tattoo industry. Through this I get to share my world with some really special people, who share some type of common ground. This has offered expansions to my business, and myself as a person.
With each new encounter, I hope to offer more than just to provide and host a service for my clients. I want it to be a give and take.
